Following a hard-fought 1-1 draw between Roma and Juventus on Matchday 31 of Serie A, head coach Igor Tudor, along with Manuel Locatelli and Pierre Kalulu, shared their thoughts on the performance, mentality, and what’s next for the team.

IGOR TUDOR

“We need to tighten up defensively that’s clear. Of course, missing key players like Bremer, Gatti, and Cabal affected our structure today, but there’s still plenty of room to grow.

That said, I really appreciated the first half: we were proactive, made good decisions, and showed our quality. Roma came back strong in the second half and got their goal, but the way we finished the match, pushing for the winner, was a positive signal. We’re not satisfied we wanted all three points but this performance gives us belief.

As for the goal? It came from smart movement and awareness qualities that make the difference at this level. Personally, I’m proud to be here, but there’s no time to relax the work continues immediately.”

Manuel Locatelli talk after Roma vs Juventus

“Obviously, getting the win would’ve been ideal, but tonight we delivered a solid performance. From the start, the coach encouraged us to trust ourselves and play with conviction.

We showed that with our intensity and pressing, although fatigue may have crept in a bit. Still, the mindset we’re building that hunger and desire is key. If we can carry that forward, we’ll keep climbing.”

PIERRE KALULU

“There’s some frustration with the result, no doubt we felt we deserved more. But belief in our direction and our objectives hasn’t wavered. This week in training, we focused on control, duels, and aggressive defending, especially with the physical demands of the three-man back line.

We brought that intensity today. Yes, there are things to clean up myself included but drawing against an in-form Roma side isn’t something to dismiss. Every point matters, and our eyes are firmly on Champions League qualification. That remains our clear goal.”
