Bremer’s injury puts Milan Skriniar back on Juve’s radar

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus may once again turn to Milan Skriniar as a solution for their defense. With Bremer sidelined for two months, the Bianconeri are preparing for another January transfer window focused on reinforcing the back line.

It feels like history repeating itself in Turin. Just as last season, Juventus find themselves in October facing another injury crisis. However, this time the situation is less severe.

Bremer’s absence will last around eight weeks, not the ten-month ordeal of last year. At Continassa, the club’s management knows that both Bremer and Juan Cabal, who is also recovering from a muscle issue, may have inconsistent fitness.

That unpredictability has convinced Juventus to keep a close eye on the market for potential defensive reinforcements. Ideally, they seek a central defender familiar with Serie A who could join on loan.

If the January window opened today, Skriniar would be the top name on Juventus’s list. The Slovak defender, formerly of Sampdoria and Inter, is currently at Fenerbahçe. His move there was driven by José Mourinho, but with Mourinho now at Benfica, Skriniar’s future may again be uncertain.

Juventus view this as an opportunity. At 30, Skriniar still offers experience and leadership, both valuable assets for a team with defensive instability.

The club’s scouting team will also monitor the market for discontented players at major clubs, such as Kim Min-jae of Bayern Munich. However, Kim’s non-EU status could complicate any potential move.

Molina tops Juventus wish list for the right flank

While reinforcing the defense remains a priority, Juventus are also seeking reinforcements on the right wing and in midfield. After signing Jonathan David on a free transfer, the club still has one available slot for a non-EU player.

Head coach Igor Tudor hopes to use that opportunity to bring in Nahuel Molina from Atlético Madrid. The Argentine full-back rejected a move to Turin last summer, but his limited playing time in Spain could change the situation.

Juventus and Atlético maintain strong relations following the recent Nico González deal, which could help facilitate discussions. Signing Molina would allow Tudor to reposition Pierre Kalulu in a more natural role within the defensive trio.

Still, Juventus are keeping alternative options open, including Jonathan Clauss from Nice and the promising 21-year-old Englishman Brooke Norton-Cuffy of Genoa.

For now, Juventus remain alert and patient, ready to act once the January window opens — and once again, their future may hinge on how quickly they can rebuild a solid back line.
