Arsenal are reportedly monitoring the situation of Jonathan David, the Canadian striker born in 2000 who currently plays for Juventus. Since arriving in Italy, David has found it challenging to fully adapt to the demands and rhythm of Serie A.

However, recent performances suggest signs of gradual improvement, with the forward beginning to show flashes of the qualities that made him such a sought-after talent on the European market.

According to reports circulating in the British media and relayed by Gunners via TuttoJuve, Arsenal have already explored potential avenues to bring the player to North London.

The Premier League side are said to be considering a player-exchange operation as a way to facilitate negotiations with Juventus.

Proposed Swap Deal and Juventus’ Stance

The idea discussed involves Gabriel Jesus, the Brazilian forward born in 1997, moving in the opposite direction. Jesus is a profile that has attracted interest from Juventus in the past and would represent a tactically suitable option for the Bianconeri, especially in light of Dusan Vlahovic’s current injury problems.

From a technical perspective, Jesus could offer mobility, pressing ability, and versatility across the front line—attributes that Juventus value highly.

Despite this, Juventus are not convinced by the proposal. The club’s management are reportedly reluctant to accept a swap involving Gabriel Jesus due to concerns over his physical reliability.

The former Manchester City striker has recently returned from a lengthy injury layoff and is no longer considered a guaranteed starter in Arsenal’s long-term plans.

As a result, Juventus view him as a potential risk rather than a secure solution, particularly given the club’s need for players who can deliver consistency over a full season.

For Arsenal, Jonathan David represents an intriguing attacking option with room for growth and resale value. While no formal negotiations have advanced at this stage, the interest from the Gunners highlights David’s continued appeal despite his initial struggles in Italy.

As the season progresses, the situation could evolve, especially if Juventus reassess their attacking needs and Arsenal decide to push further for the Canadian striker.
