Yildiz renewal has STALLED

Forza Juventus

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the renewal of Kenan Yildiz’s contract with Juventus has become more complicated than expected.

Negotiations, once seen as a formality, have reached a standstill after weeks of meetings between Damien Comolli and the player’s representatives. Both sides failed to agree on the financial terms of a new deal that would have extended Yildiz’s stay until 2030.

Just a few days ago, the agreement seemed imminent. Now, however, discussions have cooled, and optimism inside Juventus headquarters has faded. The club’s management at Continassa decided to pause talks after failing to bridge the gap between the parties’ expectations.

Yildiz’s current contract binds him to Juventus until 2029, with an annual salary of €1.7 million plus bonuses. The young Turkish forward, who has grown into a key player under the new sporting structure, expected a salary adjustment reflecting his elevated role in the squad.

He wanted earnings comparable to those of established teammates and new arrivals who enjoy higher pay. The player’s entourage reportedly asked for a figure close to the €6 million net salary earned by Jonathan David, the club’s recent signing in the Comolli era.

Juventus, however, offered significantly less, creating a difference of around €1 million per season. Though the gap appears small, it has proven enough to stall the entire negotiation process.

At this stage, Juventus prefers not to rush into a new commitment, while Yildiz’s camp remains firm on their demands. The uncertainty raises questions about the long-term future of one of the club’s brightest young talents.

The deadlock has not gone unnoticed across Europe. Several major clubs, including Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Arsenal, are reportedly monitoring Yildiz’s situation closely. Each is ready to make a move should Juventus fail to resolve the impasse soon.

For now, the player remains focused on his performances, but the tension behind the scenes continues to grow. Unless a breakthrough occurs, Juventus could face a difficult decision in the coming months—either meet Yildiz’s demands or risk losing a rising star.
