Juventus are preparing for a crucial winter transfer window. The club wants to strengthen its midfield and has returned to an option previously considered.

According to Eurosport & TuttoSport, the Bianconeri have once again identified Granit Xhaka as a potential signing. The Swiss international, born in 1992, currently plays for Sunderland and has long been admired in Turin.

Juventus already monitored him closely during the summer window, but no agreement materialised. The need for a reliable central midfielder has become more urgent for Juventus.

The club wants a player who offers experience, rhythm control, and leadership. Xhaka fits this profile well. He is known for his vision, precise passing, and strong character on the pitch. His ability to direct play from deep positions makes him a desirable addition for Spalletti’s system.

Eurosport reports that Sunderland are not fully opposed to letting him leave. The club value the player at around 15 million euros. This fee is accessible for Juventus and aligns with their policy of targeted, sustainable investment.

The price also reflects Xhaka’s maturity and consistent performance levels. Juventus appreciate his tactical intelligence and his knowledge of top-level football, both in domestic leagues and in international competitions with Switzerland.

Contacts expected to intensify

The next few weeks will be decisive. Juventus and Sunderland may increase discussions to find the best formula for the transfer. A structured deal could include bonuses or a loan with an obligation to buy.

Juventus want to manage their resources carefully but are aware of the competitive pressure in Serie A. Strengthening the midfield could prove vital for the second half of the season.

Xhaka would bring immediate quality and depth to the squad. He offers technical reliability and a strong presence in physical battles. His experience could help balance the midfield and support the team in both domestic and European commitments.

Juventus believe his profile suits their current project, which mixes experienced leaders with emerging talents. As the winter window approaches, the Xhaka track appears increasingly concrete.

If negotiations progress smoothly, Juventus could finally secure a player they have monitored for months. The club’s pursuit of midfield stability may soon find its answer in the Swiss playmaker, as highlighted by Eurosport.
