TuttoJuve reports that Christian Mawissa has become one of the most intriguing names on Juventus’ shortlist. The young defender has entered the club’s market plans with remarkable force.

His profile matches the current strategy of the Bianconeri, who want an under-22 centre-back able to offer immediate reliability and long-term potential. Mawissa fits this vision with impressive precision and has now become a priority for the coming months.

Juventus have shaped a clear and structured plan for their defensive future. The club wants a young centre-back who will not affect current squad slots and who aligns with the gradual renewal of the back line.

Mawissa appears to be the perfect candidate in this context. His valuation sits at around 20 million euros, a figure considered reasonable for a player with strong physical tools and considerable upside.

There is also a valuable connection behind the scenes. Mawissa is well known to Damien Comolli, now a key figure in the Juventus sporting department. Comolli worked with the defender during their time at Toulouse and followed his development very closely.

This shared history may play a decisive role as negotiations progress. Juventus want to act quickly and aim to explore the deal during the winter window. TuttoJuve highlights that the young Frenchman is seen as one of the most realistic opportunities for January.

The club is still monitoring other profiles. Tiago Gabriel and Tarik Muharemovic remain on the list, but Mawissa stands apart. He shows strong maturity for his age, a sharp reading of the game, and the ability to adapt to different tactical systems. These qualities are not easy to find in players of his generation.

A move that could shape Juventus’ defensive future

Mawissa’s arrival would represent an important statement for Juventus and for Serie A. The club wants to refresh the squad while keeping the same competitive standards.

The search for balance between immediate impact and future value has guided many of Juventus’ recent decisions. Mawissa offers exactly that combination. He brings potential, versatility, and the confidence needed to grow into a key figure over time.

For months, Juventus have evaluated defenders who can fit their long-term project. Mawissa now appears at the top of that list. His signing could become a turning point in the ongoing rebuild and a significant investment for the club’s future identity.
