The uncertainty surrounding Dusan Vlahovic’s future at Juventus is finally starting to clear. In recent days, a pivotal development occurred at the Continassa.

The first meaningful contact between the club’s management and Vlahovic’s entourage to renegotiate a contract that many thought would end in June.

The meeting, held just before Juventus’ trip to Rome, included Vlahovic’s father, Milos, CEO Damien Comolli, and club legend Giorgio Chiellini.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the discussions revealed an unexpectedly positive turn. Vlahovic reassured the club that he has no agreements with third parties, signaling his focus remains on Turin despite interest from elite clubs like Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and AC Milan.

The striker’s commitment also reflects his strong connection with coach Luciano Spalletti, who sees him as a central figure in Juventus’ tactical plans.

Negotiations, Recovery, and Strategic Implications

Off the field, negotiations hinge on a delicate economic balance. Juventus is prepared to secure Vlahovic’s future at the club, but only if he agrees to a significant salary adjustment.

The plan is to reduce the 12 million euros slated for the 2025-26 season to a more sustainable 7 million euros per year, aligning his pay with rising star Kenan Yildiz.

Combined with the recent renewals of Yildiz and Weston McKennie, this would cement Juventus’ long-term financial and sporting structure. Vlahovic, however, is expected to make a clear financial commitment to the club.

On the sporting front, his recovery is progressing well. After three months sidelined due to an adductor operation, Vlahovic is set to resume training with the squad this week.

There is optimism he could be included in the squad against Pisa on Saturday, easing him back into competitive rhythm, with a full return expected by mid-March in Udine.

From a strategic perspective, his continued presence will reshape Juventus’ summer plans: instead of replacing the striker, the club could focus on pairing him with a high-level partner—especially with Lois Openda’s departure—creating a formidable attacking duo under Spalletti’s guidance.

If completed successfully, this reconciliation marks a fresh start for both Vlahovic and Juventus, blending sporting ambition with economic prudence, and reinforcing the club’s commitment to building around its star striker.
