After eleven memorable years with Paris Saint-Germain, Marco Verratti could soon return to European football. The Italian midfielder, currently playing in Qatar, is seriously considering ending his career at a prestigious European club.

Verratti’s time at PSG ended in September 2023, marking the close of a long and successful chapter. He joined Al-Arabi following the major squad overhaul led by the French club, which aimed to rebuild around younger players.

The decision surprised many fans, but Verratti accepted the challenge of a new experience in the Middle East. After spending two seasons in Qatar and recently moving to Al-Duhail, the 32-year-old seems to have lost motivation in a less competitive environment.

The lure of European football, with its passion and intensity, is becoming increasingly difficult for him to ignore. Sources close to the player suggest that he still feels capable of competing at the highest level.

Juventus and Verrati: A possible winter market move

According to reports from TuttoJuve, early rumors link Verratti with a potential return to Italy — and possibly to Juventus. The midfielder, originally from Abruzzo, has never played in Serie A, despite beginning his professional journey with Pescara.

Now, approaching 33, he dreams of finally wearing a Serie A shirt and competing in Italy’s top division. Juventus are known to be searching for a deep-lying playmaker, and Verratti’s experience could make him an ideal fit.

His technical ability, composure, and vision could add valuable depth to Spalletti’s midfield. However, as TuttoJuve notes, the speculation remains uncertain for now.

The move would only be possible under specific financial conditions, as Juventus are managing their budget carefully.

A return to Europe would be a fitting finale to Verratti’s distinguished career. Should the deal go through, it could be one of the most intriguing storylines of the 2026 winter transfer window.

For Juventus, it would mean securing a player who combines experience, leadership, and the unique flair that once made him one of PSG’s most influential figures.
