After more than a decade of limited dealings, Juventus and Inter could soon find themselves back at the negotiating table.
The arrival of Giovanni Carnevali as Juventus‘ new Chief Executive Officer has reshaped the club’s hierarchy and may pave the way for renewed cooperation between Italy’s two biggest rivals.

According to Alfredo Pedullà, discussions between Juventus and Inter could eventually lead to a significant exchange deal involving Davide Frattesi and Andrea Cambiaso, a move that could benefit both clubs on and off the pitch.
Carnevali and Marotta Ready to Open Dialogue
One of the key factors behind the potential thaw in relations is the strong professional relationship between Juventus CEO Giovanni Carnevali and Inter president Beppe Marotta.
The two executives are expected to hold talks in the coming weeks regarding a possible transfer operation that could satisfy the needs of both clubs.
Transfer business between Juventus and Inter has been virtually non-existent in recent years. While players such as Juan Cuadrado and Kwadwo Asamoah moved from Turin to Milan on free transfers, those deals did not involve direct negotiations between the clubs.
The same was true for Lucio’s move from Inter to Juventus. The last transfer involving a transfer fee between the two sides dates back to the 2015/16 season, when Juventus signed Hernanes from Inter for €13 million.
Before that, the most notable dealings came in in 2006, when Inter acquired Zlatan Ibrahimović and Patrick Vieira from Juventus.
Frattesi for Cambiaso? A Deal That Could Suit Everyone
Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti is understood to be a long-time admirer of Davide Frattesi.
The Italian midfielder reportedly feels his time at Inter has come to an end and would welcome the opportunity to reunite with the coach who helped him flourish during his time with the Italian national team.
Meanwhile, Inter are searching for a young Italian full-back following Denzel Dumfries’ move to Real Madrid.
With negotiations for Marco Palestra failing to progress, Inter could revive their interest in Andrea Cambiaso, who is considered one of the players Juventus could sacrifice this summer.

According to Alfredo Pedullà, the possibility of a swap deal should be taken seriously, with both players carrying similar market valuations. Cambiaso’s value could even be slightly higher than Frattesi’s, but the gap is not considered significant.
From a financial perspective, the operation would also make sense for both clubs. Any valuation exceeding €30 million would generate substantial capital gains, making the deal attractive not only from a sporting standpoint but also from an accounting perspective.
