Juventus has the KEY to sign Sorloth

Juventus have reportedly revived their pursuit of Alexander Sorloth, with the Norwegian striker once again emerging as one of the club’s leading attacking targets.

According to Tuttosport, recent contacts between Juventus and Atletico Madrid have reopened discussions, with Sorloth’s name returning to the forefront of the Bianconeri’s transfer plans.

Despite a difficult FIFA Club World Cup campaign, where Sorloth struggled to establish himself alongside prolific goalscorer Erling Haaland for Norway, Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti continues to view the 30-year-old as an ideal fit for his tactical system.

Spalletti Still Convinced by Sorloth

Tuttosport reports that Juventus’ interest in Sorloth dates back several weeks, when former club executives Damien Comolli and Marco Ottolini were negotiating with Atletico Madrid.

During that period, Spalletti personally contacted the striker to explain his tactical vision and understand whether Sorloth was open to making the move to Turin.

The conversation reportedly went very well, with the Norwegian expressing enthusiasm about the possibility of testing himself in Serie A after several successful seasons in La Liga.

However, Juventus’ internal restructuring temporarily brought negotiations to a halt. The departures of Comolli and the arrival of Giovanni Carnevali, followed by sporting director Ricky Massara, shifted the club’s priorities and slowed discussions.

Another obstacle was Atletico Madrid’s asking price of around €40 million, while Juventus simultaneously resumed talks with Paris Saint-Germain over Randal Kolo Muani, forcing the club to delay any concrete move for Sorloth.

Nico Gonzalez Could Unlock the Deal

According to Tuttosport, the situation is now evolving once again, largely because of Nico Gonzalez.

The Argentine winger is eager to reunite with Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid after previously thriving under the Spanish coach, and Atletico remain strongly interested in signing him.

Juventus, however, are refusing to lower their valuation, insisting on at least €30 million for Gonzalez despite the slow transfer market.

The Bianconeri believe the winger’s desire to return to Madrid could help facilitate fresh negotiations between the two clubs, potentially bringing Sorloth into the conversation once more.

Spalletti remains a huge admirer of the Norwegian forward, whose impressive scoring record speaks for itself. Sorloth scored 20 goals last season, 24 the year before, and 26 during his spell at Villarreal, demonstrating remarkable consistency in front of goal.

Other names still being monitored included Mateo Pellegrino, and Joshua Zirkzee, as Juventus continue their search for new attacking reinforcements ahead of the new season after signed Kolo Muani.

With negotiations between Juventus and Atletico Madrid becoming active again, Tuttosport suggests that Sorloth’s long-awaited move to Turin could once again become a genuine possibility.
