Juventus have reportedly set their sights on one of the brightest young talents in Italian football, with Mattia Liberali emerging as a serious target for the Bianconeri.
According to Tuttosport, Juventus scouts closely monitored the attacking midfielder during Catanzaro’s playoff campaign, and the club continues to follow his development with great interest.

Nicknamed “The Magician” for his extraordinary technical ability, Liberali has enjoyed a rapid rise over the past two years.
The 19-year-old left AC Milan in search of regular first-team football and found it at Catanzaro, where he played a key role in the club’s impressive Serie B campaign that ended just one step away from promotion to Serie A.
Mattia Liberali – From Milan Wonderkid to Serie B Standout
Born in Lissone in 2007, Liberali began his football journey with local club La Dominante before being spotted by Milan at a young age. His progression through the Rossoneri academy was swift, and 2024 proved to be the breakthrough year of his young career.
After helping Milan win the Under-16 Scudetto and starring in the UEFA Youth League, Liberali became one of the key figures in Italy’s triumphant UEFA European Under-17 Championship campaign.
Wearing the iconic No. 10 shirt, he dazzled throughout the tournament and produced one of its standout moments with a stunning solo goal against England in the quarter-finals.
His performances also caught the attention of then-Milan coach Paulo Fonseca, who handed him opportunities during pre-season against top European opposition, including Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Liberali later made his senior debut for Milan before continuing his development with Milan Futuro. Last season at Catanzaro, he confirmed his immense potential, making 30 appearances across all competitions, including the playoffs, while contributing four goals and four assists.
Juventus Face Competition for “The Magician”
A classic attacking midfielder with excellent dribbling skills, creativity and vision, Liberali is often compared to players such as Brahim Diaz and Paulo Dybala due to his style of play and his dangerous left foot.
Although naturally a No. 10, he can also operate as a central midfielder or on the right wing, where he likes to cut inside onto his stronger foot.
According to Tuttosport, Juventus are not alone in the race for the talented youngster. Bologna, Como and Sassuolo are also keeping a close eye on him.
While Catanzaro currently own his registration, Milan retain a 50% sell-on clause, making any future transfer particularly significant.

When he left Milan, Liberali made his ambitions clear: “Zero regrets. When I make a choice, it’s because I’m 100% convinced.”
Creative, fearless and determined, the teenager has already shown he is willing to carve out his own path. Juventus believe that path could eventually lead to Turin, and the club continues to monitor one of Italy’s most exciting young prospects ahead of the future.
