Juventus prepare a Maignan surprise

Italian transfer insider Matteo Moretto has offered new insight into Juventus’ interest in Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan.

Moretto discussed the situation during an appearance on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, providing a clearer view of the factors shaping the goalkeeper’s future.

His comments were later summarised by TuttoJuve and have sparked further debate about Maignan’s next steps. Moretto explained that Juventus did not initially treat Maignan as a concrete option.

The club had other priorities and did not consider the French goalkeeper a realistic target. However, things slowly changed over the following weeks and months. The idea gained strength inside the Juventus management, especially as uncertainties around Maignan’s contract renewal grew at Milan.

He stressed that the situation remains fluid. Maignan has yet to agree to a new deal with Milan, and this delay has attracted attention from several clubs. Moretto made it clear that Juventus are now watching the situation closely.

The club would be ready to step in if Maignan fails to reach an agreement with Milan. This shift in strategy suggests growing concern in Turin about securing a long-term solution for their goalkeeping role.

Premier League clubs also follow the story

Moretto also highlighted interest from several Premier League sides. English clubs are keeping a close eye on Maignan’s situation because a player of his calibre rarely becomes available.

The Premier League remains an attractive destination for many top players, and Maignan is no exception. This international attention increases the pressure on Milan, who must decide whether to accelerate renewal talks or consider potential offers.

The goalkeeper’s future is therefore uncertain. Milan want to keep him, but negotiations have not yet produced the desired results.

Juventus remain attentive, Premier League clubs are monitoring the situation, and Maignan’s next move is far from clear.

According to Matteo Moretto, all options remain open. His remarks underline how delicate the situation has become. Maignan’s future now hangs in the balance, and the coming months could be decisive for all parties involved.
