Nathan Aké may soon find himself nearing the end of his contract with Manchester City. According to CaughtOffside, at least four clubs have expressed concrete interest in the experienced Dutch defender.

Now 30 years old, Aké is no longer a guaranteed starter under Pep Guardiola. So far this season, he has made only five Premier League appearances, a clear sign of reduced playing time.

Aké’s situation has drawn attention from several teams across Europe. Italian giants Inter Milan and Juventus are reportedly monitoring his situation closely. From England, Crystal Palace are also interested in bringing him in to strengthen their defense.

Earlier in August, there were even rumors of Everton being a potential destination. The growing list of suitors shows how highly regarded Aké remains, despite limited minutes at the Etihad Stadium.

From key player to uncertain future

During his years at Manchester City, Nathan Aké played an essential role in the club’s success. He has won four Premier League titles, contributing solid performances whenever called upon.

However, injuries and strong competition in defense have gradually reduced his influence within Guardiola’s squad. With players like Josko Gvardiol and Manuel Akanji emerging, Aké’s opportunities have become increasingly rare.

Manchester City are not believed to be in a rush to sell the defender. Yet, the club could consider a transfer if a suitable offer arrives. Reports suggest City would be open to negotiations for a fee between €30 and €35 million.

Such a price would represent good value for a player of Aké’s experience and versatility, capable of covering both central and left-back positions.

As the January transfer window approaches, all eyes will be on Aké’s next move. Whether he stays to fight for his place or seeks a new challenge abroad, the coming months could mark a turning point in his career.
