Juventus eye ‘New Pogba’

Juventus have reportedly set their sights on one of Italian football’s most promising young midfielders. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Bianconeri are closely following Fiorentina star Cher Ndour, who has emerged as one of the standout revelations of the past season.

The 21-year-old midfielder has enjoyed a remarkable rise in Florence, becoming an indispensable figure under Paolo Vanoli during the second half of the campaign.

His performances have not gone unnoticed, with Juventus officials including Fabio Paratici and newly appointed executive Giovanni Carnevali said to be among his admirers.

A Midfielder Inspired by Pogba

Ndour has never hidden his admiration for former Juventus star Paul Pogba, whom he considers his footballing idol.

While he possesses different qualities from the Frenchman, the Fiorentina midfielder has shown impressive development in recent months, particularly with his movement into attacking areas and his eye for goal.

The Italian youngster scored seven goals across Serie A and European competition, including important strikes against Inter and Juventus.

Standing at 190 centimeters tall and capable of operating across multiple midfield roles, Ndour has established himself as a modern box-to-box midfielder with enormous potential.

His journey has already taken him through the academies of Brescia and Atalanta before moving abroad to Benfica and later Paris Saint-Germain, where he trained alongside some of the world’s biggest stars.

PSG eventually sold him to Fiorentina for €5 million while retaining 50 percent of any future transfer fee, a clear indication of the French club’s belief in his long-term potential.

Fiorentina Determined to Keep Their Rising Star

Despite growing interest from top clubs, Fiorentina have no intention of letting Ndour leave easily. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Viola value the midfielder at no less than €30 million and see him as a cornerstone of their future project.

Ndour’s ambition has always been evident. From a young age, he spoke openly about his dream of representing Italy at the World Cup, and he has already made significant progress through the national team ranks.

After starring for Italy’s Under-21 side, he recently earned senior recognition and was handed the iconic No. 10 shirt during international friendlies.

With talent, personality, and experience beyond his years, Ndour appears destined for a major stage. Juventus are watching closely, but Fiorentina are determined to build around a player they believe can help the club dream big in the years ahead.
