Carnevali eye USA’ striker

Forza Juventus

The United States made an impressive start to their World Cup campaign, delivering a convincing 4-1 victory over Paraguay and immediately underlining their ambitions on the global stage.

While familiar names such as Christian Pulisic and Weston McKennie played important roles, it was Folarin Balogun who stole the spotlight with a brilliant brace that placed him among the tournament’s early standout performers.

The 24-year-old striker showcased the qualities of a complete centre-forward, scoring two well-taken goals and demonstrating the movement, composure, and finishing ability that have attracted attention from top European clubs.

His performances have already strengthened his reputation and could make him one of the most sought-after forwards of the summer transfer window.

Juventus Keeping a Close Eye on Balogun

According to Calciomercato, Juventus are once again monitoring Balogun’s situation as they prepare for significant changes in their attacking department.

The Bianconeri are expected to reshape their forward line ahead of the new season, with several departures potentially opening the door for new arrivals.

Luciano Spalletti is reportedly looking to add at least two strikers to his squad following the expected exit of Dusan Vlahovic and the likely sale of Loïs Openda.

Meanwhile, the future of Jonathan David remains uncertain, further increasing the club’s need for reinforcements in attack.

Juventus management, led by new CEO Giovanni Carnevali, continues to prioritize targets such as Alexander Sorloth and Randal Kolo Muani.

Young talents including Santiago Castro and Gonzalo Garcia are also admired within the club, but Balogun’s profile is considered particularly appealing because of his blend of physical strength, mobility, and strong mentality.

Monaco Set High Asking Price

Any move for the American international would require a significant investment. Balogun remains under contract with Monaco until 2028, and his current market valuation is believed to be around €40 million.

However, that figure could rise considerably if he continues to shine at the World Cup. With his stock increasing after every performance, Juventus may need to act quickly if they decide to turn their long-standing interest into a concrete offer in the coming weeks.
