Juventus has emerged as a new contender in the race to sign Manchester City’s midfield maestro, Kevin De Bruyne, during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Turin-based club has reportedly reached out to the Belgian international. And expressing serious interest in bringing him to the Allianz Stadium. This development adds another layer to an already competitive transfer saga involving several elite European clubs.

According to Italian journalist Matteo Moretto, Juventus has made initial contact with De Bruyne’s camp. Signaling their ambition to strengthen their midfield with one of Europe’s most experienced and creative playmakers.

However, despite the Bianconeri’s growing interest, De Bruyne appears to be edging closer to a move to Napoli.

Napoli favorite to sign De Bruyne

Sources indicate that Napoli has made significant progress in negotiations, with an agreement reportedly in place that would see De Bruyne earn an annual salary of €10 million.

If finalized, the deal would be one of the most high-profile transfers in Serie A in recent years. Napoli sees De Bruyne as a marquee addition to boost their squad following a mixed domestic campaign.

Interest in De Bruyne isn’t limited to Italian clubs. Multiple Premier League teams are closely watching his situation, hoping to lure him back to England should talks with Italian sides falter.

Real Madrid is also said to be monitoring the midfielder, potentially seeing him as a short-term replacement or rotation option in their aging midfield.

De Bruyne, whose contract with Manchester City expires on June 30, 2025, has been a central figure in the club’s golden era under Pep Guardiola.

Since arriving from Wolfsburg in 2015, he has played a crucial role in City’s domestic dominance and their historic UEFA Champions League win in 2023. As he enters the final year of his contract, speculation over his future has intensified, especially given his age and City’s interest in reshaping their midfield.

Whether De Bruyne opts for the challenge of Serie A or remains in England or Spain, this summer could mark the beginning of a new chapter in the career of one of football’s most influential midfielders.
