Juventus came closer than many expected to signing Endrick, the Brazilian sensation from Real Madrid, during the summer transfer window.

According to Matteo Moretto on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, the 2006-born striker was offered to the Italian club amid uncertainty at Santiago Bernabeu.

At the end of May and early June, Real Madrid debated the young forward’s immediate future. While the club sees Endrick as central to their long-term plans, internal discussions considered a loan for regular playing time.

Juventus quickly emerged as a potential destination. The Serie A side explored the possibility of bringing the promising striker on loan, hoping to strengthen their attacking options.

Real Madrid decides to keel its star

Juventus, seeking offensive reinforcements after a transfer market full of uncertainties, viewed Endrick’s arrival as highly appealing. His talent could have boosted both the team and Serie A’s competitiveness.

Yet, negotiations never moved beyond an exploratory phase. In the end, Xabi Alonso, Real Madrid’s coach, decided to retain the forward, effectively ending any departure plans.

Endrick joined Madrid in 2024 following a remarkable spell at Palmeiras, scoring 21 goals in 82 matches. During his first European season, he played 37 games for Real Madrid, scoring seven official goals—a natural progression for a 19-year-old adapting to a new environment.

Madrid’s management believes the forward will benefit most by continuing his development under world-class teammates in one of Europe’s toughest leagues.

From Italy’s perspective, signing Endrick would have sent a bold message of ambition. Juventus, aiming to reclaim domestic and European prominence, saw the potential signing as a step toward their future goals.

The episode, however, highlights the unpredictability of the transfer market, where top clubs constantly monitor emerging stars.

For now, Endrick remains a key asset for Real Madrid, continuing his journey in white while clubs across Europe keep a close eye on his progression. Juventus tried, but one of Madrid’s brightest talents will stay at the Bernabeu.
