Federico Chiesa has reignited the dreams of Juventus supporters after publicly admitting that he would welcome a return to Turin.
“I would love to return to Juventus. Juve will always be in my heart, and I would like to go back,” the Italian winger told Gazzetta dello Sport, sparking excitement among fans who still remember his successful spell in black and white.

Chiesa made 131 appearances and scored 32 goals for Juventus between 2020 and 2024 before completing his move to Liverpool.
Juventus Have Considered Chiesa Before
A potential return was already discussed internally by Juventus last January. Head coach Luciano Spalletti reportedly viewed Chiesa as an ideal backup option for Kenan Yildiz, and the club explored the possibility of bringing him back.
However, Liverpool’s demands quickly complicated negotiations. The Reds were unwilling to sanction a simple loan move and preferred a permanent transfer.
Juventus also had concerns about introducing a high-profile player who could potentially disrupt Yildiz’s development and role within the squad. As a result, the Bianconeri shifted their focus elsewhere and eventually opted for Jeremie Boga.
Liverpool Future to Be Decided Soon
The next few weeks could prove decisive for Chiesa’s future. The 1997-born forward is expected to hold talks with Liverpool and new manager Andoni Iraola to better understand his role in the club’s plans.
If he does not receive sufficient guarantees regarding playing time, he could begin evaluating alternatives. Several Italian clubs have shown interest in the past.

Napoli and Roma both explored the possibility of signing him, while recent reports have also linked him with Como. Genoa, where Daniele De Rossi is a known admirer of the player, would face significant financial obstacles in completing such a deal.
Liverpool are open to considering offers for Chiesa, whose contract runs until June 2028. The Premier League club would prefer either a permanent sale or a loan deal that includes an obligation to buy.
The player’s valuation is believed to be around €15 million, while his current salary stands at approximately €7 million net per season.
Chiesa could be willing to reduce his wage demands in order to facilitate a return to Serie A, but Juventus remain cautious. The club’s priority is to sign an affordable backup for Yildiz rather than a guaranteed starter, making Liverpool’s valuation appear excessive at this stage.
For now, Juventus are leaning towards making Jeremie Boga’s stay permanent. The agreed fee with Nice is €4.8 million, payable over two financial years, and the Ivorian has impressed since arriving on loan in January.
As things stand, despite Chiesa’s emotional desire to return, Juventus remain far from making a concrete move. Yet with the summer transfer window still long ahead, unexpected twists cannot be ruled out.
