The future of Dusan Vlahovic has taken another unexpected turn, with fresh reports suggesting the Serbian striker has reached out to Juventus in an attempt to reopen communication following his departure.
According to Tuttosport, the former Bianconeri forward has initiated contact with the club after finding himself without the offers he had hoped for since becoming a free agent at the end of June.
Juventus CEO and general director Giovanni Carnevali recently hinted that the door had not been completely closed, stating that “our doors are open.”
While the remark attracted significant attention, Tuttosport reports that there is more behind those words than initially appeared.

Vlahovic Makes the First Move
The report claims Vlahovic personally contacted Juventus without the involvement of his father, Milos, who has played a prominent role in negotiations throughout the striker’s career.
This direct approach is said to reflect the current transfer market situation, with the 26-year-old yet to receive proposals matching his financial and sporting ambitions.
Although Turkish side Besiktas have shown interest—offering the possibility of reuniting with coach Vincenzo Italiano, who managed him at Fiorentina during the 2021/22 season—the Serbian international is reportedly unconvinced by that destination.
Juventus Open to Discussions on Their Terms
According to Tuttosport, Vlahovic has also been rebuilding relationships inside the Juventus dressing room by reconnecting with teammates and people close to the club.
The move is viewed as an attempt to repair tensions that reportedly surfaced earlier this summer after comments linked to his salary expectations compared to Jonathan David became public.
The situation will now land on the desk of Juventus’ new technical director, Frederic Massara, who is expected to evaluate whether a reunion is realistically achievable.

Head coach Luciano Spalletti is believed to be enthusiastic about the possibility of working with Vlahovic once again, should an agreement be reached.
Whether Vlahovic reports to Continassa on July 13 remains uncertain. Much will depend on resolving key financial issues, including his salary demands and the commissions involving his father.
For Juventus, a return is not out of the question—but only if the club’s conditions are fully respected. According to Tuttosport, the first step toward a potential reconciliation has already been made by Vlahovic himself.
