Juventus are reportedly considering the signing of a new striker ahead of the January transfer window, as the club’s hierarchy is not fully convinced by the current attacking options.

While the team has shown flashes of quality in the final third, the Bianconeri believe an additional forward could provide greater depth, physical presence, and consistency in front of goal.

According to TuttoJuve, Juventus have identified a potential target in La Liga, with their attention falling on Norwegian striker Alexander Sørloth, currently playing for Atlético Madrid.

Juventus Monitor Alexander Sørloth Situation

Sørloth, 30, is under contract with Atlético Madrid until June 2028, but his future in Spain may not be entirely settled.

Despite registering a respectable return of five goals in 22 appearances across all competitions, the Norwegian international is reportedly not completely satisfied with his role within Diego Simeone’s squad. This has led him to seriously consider a possible move during the January window.

A powerful and experienced centre-forward, Sørloth has also built an impressive international résumé, earning 68 caps for Norway and scoring 26 goals.

His physical profile and ability to play as a reference point in attack are qualities Juventus are believed to appreciate, especially as they look to add more effectiveness and solutions in the penalty area.

Atlético Madrid are said to value the striker at around €20 million, a figure Juventus currently consider too high for a permanent deal. For this reason, the Turin-based club would prefer to explore the possibility of a loan move, potentially with an option to buy at a later stage.

Lucca Identified as Alternative Option

Should negotiations for Sørloth fail to progress, Juventus are not short of alternatives. One name firmly on their shortlist is Lorenzo Lucca, currently at Napoli.

The Italian striker is seen as a viable fallback option, offering different characteristics but still fitting the profile Juventus are targeting for their attack.

As the January window approaches, Juventus are carefully evaluating their options, aiming to make a calculated move that could strengthen the squad without compromising long-term plans.

All indications suggest that the search for a new striker is a priority, with developments expected in the coming weeks.
