Juventus to Hijack Napoli’s €4M Deal

Juventus have entered the race for highly-rated Italian full-back Costantino Favasuli, making an initial inquiry as the youngster edges closer to a potential move away from Catanzaro.

According to Giovanni Albanese, the Bianconeri have recently gathered information on the 2004-born defender, although it remains unclear whether the approach is a genuine attempt to sign the player or simply a strategic move to complicate Napoli’s negotiations.

The situation is expected to become clearer over the coming hours, with Favasuli eager to resolve his future as soon as possible.

Napoli are currently considered the favourites to secure the defender’s signature after establishing positive contacts with the player’s representatives.

The deal with Catanzaro is reportedly being discussed for around €4 million, while Fiorentina would be entitled to 50% of the transfer fee due to a sell-on clause included in the player’s previous move.

Carnevali Monitoring Another Young Talent

Juventus CEO Giovanni Carnevali has once again shown his interest in one of Italy’s most promising young talents. The move is reminiscent of the club’s recent attempt to hijack the race for Mattia Liberali, who ultimately completed his transfer to Como.

At the moment, Juventus’ interest in Favasuli appears to be an exploratory step rather than an advanced negotiation.

However, the Turin giants are keeping a close eye on the situation should an opportunity arise to launch a more concrete bid.

Would Favasuli Arrival Signal Another Exit?

Juventus have already strengthened the right flank this summer with the signing of Zeki Celik, making another addition in the same position somewhat unexpected unless the squad changes further.

A move for Favasuli could indicate that one of Pierre Kalulu or Andrea Cambiaso may leave the club before the transfer window closes. However, such departures would only be considered if Juventus receive offers that fully satisfy their valuation.

Favasuli enjoyed an impressive 2025/26 campaign with Catanzaro in Serie B, making 41 appearances across the league and playoffs.

The young full-back contributed two goals and nine assists, confirming himself as one of the division’s standout emerging talents.

Although Alberto Aquilani would reportedly like to bring Favasuli with him to Sassuolo, the growing interest from Italy’s biggest clubs has significantly changed the picture.

Napoli remain in pole position, but as Giovanni Albanese reports, Juventus are attempting a late intervention that could still reshape the race for one of Italian football’s brightest prospects.
