Juventus and AC Milan, a shocking Swap Deal

The winter transfer window may set the stage for an intriguing clash between two of Italy’s biggest football rivals, AC Milan and Juventus.

According to La Repubblica, the Rossoneri have already strengthened their attack with the signing of Füllkrug, a move made necessary by Gimenez’s long-term injury that will keep him sidelined for four months.

Looking ahead, Milan is also reportedly laying the groundwork to secure Dusan Vlahovic on a free transfer this summer. An interesting link: Vlahovic’s agent, Ristic, is the same as that of young Kostic, who was recently acquired for €7 million.

While potential offers for Nkunku remain under review, Milan’s immediate focus has shifted to bolstering their defense. On the other side of the Serie A rivalry, Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri appears hesitant to pursue veteran defenders like Thiago Silva, feeling he already has an over-40 presence with Luka Modric.

Similarly, Sergio Ramos does not seem to fully captivate Allegri’s plans, although his name has not been entirely ruled out.

Instead, the Bianconeri coach has shown a clear preference for Federico Gatti, valued for his versatility in covering all three defensive positions with reliability and composure.

A Strategic Swap or Alternative Targets

This dynamic could pave the way for a potential Milan–Juventus exchange. The Rossoneri may attempt to acquire Gatti, but Juventus would likely request a high-profile return, with Samuele Ricci topping the list.

Ricci, a former Torino player, is highly regarded by Spalletti and frequently features as a starter for the Italian national team. Milan purchased him last summer for €25 million, and he is seen as a key figure for the club’s midfield.

However, the Rossoneri have already invested in Jashari, identified by Allegri as a promising future regista, while their central midfield boasts Fofana, Loftus-Cheek, and the ever-present Rabiot.

Should the clubs align on valuations, a Gatti–Ricci swap could become the winter’s unexpected headline. Alternatively, Milan continues to explore other defensive reinforcements, including the likes of Skriniar and Dier—moves that are far from straightforward—keeping Ramos as a viable, if secondary, option.
