With his contract at Bayern Munich set to expire at the end of the season, Leon Goretzka is emerging as one of the most intriguing names on the European transfer market.

The 1995-born German international midfielder could soon be available on a free transfer — a scenario that is already attracting serious interest from Italy’s top clubs.

According to Sportmediaset, Goretzka has become a concrete target for several Serie A giants. Inter Milan, Napoli, AC Milan, and Juventus are all closely monitoring his situation, with Inter currently holding a slight advantage over their domestic rivals.

A Midfield Opportunity Not to Be Missed

Goretzka’s blend of physical strength, tactical intelligence, and goal-scoring ability from midfield makes him a highly attractive profile for clubs looking to add experience and leadership.

At 30 years old next season, he remains in his prime and brings with him invaluable experience from both the Bundesliga and international competitions with Germany.

For Inter, the opportunity to sign a player of his caliber without a transfer fee represents a strategic move, particularly as they aim to maintain domestic dominance and remain competitive in Europe.

Napoli and Milan are also keen to reinforce their midfield departments, while Juventus are carefully assessing the financial feasibility of a potential deal.

Salary Demands and Juventus’ Strategy

The main obstacle appears to be financial. Goretzka is reportedly seeking a salary between €6 and €6.5 million per season from his next club.

This figure would place him close to the top of Juventus’ current wage structure. The Bianconeri, therefore, may need to make calculated adjustments to accommodate his demands.

Still, with months remaining before the transfer window officially opens, negotiations could intensify. If Juventus decide to accelerate their pursuit, the coming weeks may prove decisive in shaping one of Serie A’s most compelling transfer battles.
