Juve target 2 Serie A players as Cambiaso replacment

Juventus are reportedly facing a crucial decision regarding the future of their left flank, where the balance between talent development and experienced reliability could define their summer transfer strategy.

According to Tuttosport, the Bianconeri are considering two very different profiles: one a rising Italian prospect, and the other a seasoned European champion who could offer immediate stability to the squad.

At the centre of this situation is Andrea Cambiaso, a player who has grown into one of the most promising full-backs in Italian football. Just over a year ago, Manchester City were said to be willing to invest around €60 million for the 2000-born defender.

Today, that figure has adjusted, but Juventus still believe Cambiaso could command a fee in the region of €40 million should they decide to sanction his departure.

Interest in Cambiaso remains strong and widespread. Clubs from the Premier League continue to monitor his situation closely, while attention has also arrived from Spain and Serie A rivals AC Milan.

A potential move to Milan would also bring a narrative twist, with Massimiliano Allegri reportedly appreciative of the player’s qualities and versatility.

A Strategic Reinvestment Plan

Juventus’ idea, as outlined by Tuttosport, would not be to reinvest the entire fee from Cambiaso’s sale into a direct replacement.

Instead, the club could allocate only a portion of the proceeds to the left-back role, using the remaining funds to strengthen other areas of the squad during a crucial rebuilding phase.

This approach naturally limits the pursuit of elite, fully established players in their prime, pushing Juventus towards more sustainable and opportunistic market solutions.

Among the names under consideration is Lorenzo Bernasconi, a 22-year-old Atalanta full-back valued at around €20 million. His profile fits the club’s strategy of investing in young Italian talent with long-term potential.

Alternatively, Juventus could opt for a more experienced and low-risk solution in the form of Leonardo Spinazzola. The nearly 34-year-old full-back is set to leave Napoli on a free transfer and would represent an immediate, cost-effective option.

Having developed in Juventus’ own youth system, Spinazzola would also not occupy a foreign squad slot, making him valuable from a registration perspective.

Ultimately, Juventus are balancing present needs with future planning, and the decision on Cambiaso could become a defining piece in their summer restructuring puzzle.
