Juventus have revived their pursuit of Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez as the club continues to assess its options between the posts ahead of the new season.
According to reports relayed by Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, the Bianconeri have recently reopened contacts regarding the Argentine World Cup winner after their pursuit of Liverpool’s Alisson Becker stalled.

Martinez had already emerged as a target for Juventus earlier this year, but discussions cooled when Alisson became the club’s preferred option.
With Liverpool currently reluctant to sanction the Brazilian’s departure, Juventus have once again turned their attention to the Aston Villa star.
Martinez Back on Juventus’ Radar
The 1992-born goalkeeper is highly regarded within Juventus due to his leadership qualities, winning mentality, and commanding personality.
The club believes Martinez possesses the experience and character needed to strengthen the squad and help elevate the team back to the highest level of European football.
Martinez has reportedly been considering a move away from Aston Villa for several months. After helping the club secure Europa League success and a top-four Premier League finish, the Argentine feels his chapter at Villa Park may have come to an end.
Juventus and the prospect of playing in Serie A are understood to be particularly appealing to him. However, completing a deal would be far from straightforward.

Aston Villa value Martinez at around €20 million, while the goalkeeper still has three years remaining on a contract worth approximately €6 million per season.
As a result, any move would require a greater financial commitment than Juventus had initially planned for Alisson. Recent reports suggest that Juventus have resumed discussions with Martinez’s agent, Gustavo Goni, although the club has not yet made a final decision.
Alisson, De Gea and Nubel Remain Alternative Options
Despite the renewed interest in Martinez, Juventus are continuing to monitor developments surrounding Alisson. The Liverpool goalkeeper is awaiting clarity regarding his future after a turbulent period at Anfield, where changes behind the scenes have created uncertainty over several key figures.
Should the Alisson deal remain out of reach, Juventus are also maintaining contact with other potential targets.
David De Gea is viewed as the most affordable option, with Fiorentina reportedly willing to negotiate a transfer for a fee below €10 million.
Another name under consideration is Alexander Nubel.

The German goalkeeper is expected to return to Bayern Munich following a successful loan spell at Stuttgart, but with Manuel Neuer remaining Bayern’s undisputed first choice, another move away from the Allianz Arena appears likely.
Before making a final decision on a new goalkeeper, Juventus must first resolve the futures of their current shot-stoppers. Michele Di Gregorio and Mattia Perin are both under evaluation, with one of them expected to leave this summer.
Di Gregorio, in particular, has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs and could generate significant funds for the Turin giants.
As things stand, Martinez has once again become a serious candidate for Juventus, but the Bianconeri are keeping multiple options open before making their final move in the transfer market.
