Fenerbahce offers swap deal for Douglas Luiz

Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho is determined to bring Douglas Luiz to Istanbul this summer. According to reports from Gazzetta dello Sport, he’s so eager to seal the deal that he’s willing to send Sofyan Amrabat to Juventus in exchange.

Luiz has fallen out of favor under new manager Igor Tudor and is no longer in the club’s plans. His refusal to attend the team’s pre-season camp has only intensified the situation.

As a result, the club is now actively seeking a way to offload him. Despite the drama, the Brazilian still commands significant attention.

Premier League clubs such as West Ham, Everton, and Nottingham Forest remain interested. However, new reports from Turkey and Italy suggest that Fenerbahce are now serious contenders.

Juventus could be tempted by Amrabat offer

While Luiz’s likely destination remains the Premier League, Mourinho is working hard to convince him otherwise. He reportedly sees the 26-year-old as a key piece for his Fenerbahce project and is ready to make a compelling offer.

To sweeten the deal for Juventus, Mourinho is offering Sofyan Amrabat in return. Although Amrabat isn’t Juventus’ top midfield target, he is on their radar.

The Italian club continues to prioritize Morten Hjulmand but remains open to more affordable options. Amrabat has plenty of Serie A experience, having previously played for Fiorentina and Hellas Verona.

He had a challenging loan spell at Manchester United but joined Fenerbahce last summer and has now completed a permanent move.

Still, Fenerbahce would consider selling the Moroccan midfielder if the right opportunity comes. Mourinho may view this as a perfect moment to orchestrate a swap that benefits both clubs.

If successful, the move could reshape both midfield setups and signal Mourinho’s intent to build a formidable side in Turkey. For Luiz, it may offer a fresh start—and for Amrabat, a return to familiar territory in Italy.
