According to TuttoJuve, former Toulouse FC president Damien Comolli continues to influence Juventus from a key strategic position. He spent five seasons in France and guided Toulouse to a historic Coupe de France triumph.

His experience and connections remain valuable assets for the Italian club. Since arriving in Turin, he has not stopped following the progress of his former team. His interest is especially focused on one player who has become central to Toulouse’s current project.

Comolli still keeps a close eye on Charlie Cresswell, a strong and reliable defender who has grown into a cornerstone of the Toulouse back line. The 23-year-old has gained recognition for his consistency, his maturity, and his ability to command the defensive phase.

Juventus monitored him during the previous summer window and continue to evaluate him with growing attention. The club sees him as a potential defensive reinforcement for the near future. His age and profile match the long-term vision that Juventus is building under its renewed management structure.

Juventus eye January move for Charlie Cresswell

Cresswell remains one of the most attractive names on the market for several English clubs. This rising competition could push Juventus to move earlier than expected. A January approach is now considered a concrete possibility.

The Bianconeri know that delaying negotiations might allow Premier League sides to take the lead. Comolli’s detailed knowledge of the player and the club could help Juventus conduct a more informed pursuit.

Toulouse signed Cresswell for 4.5 million euros in 2024. Since then, his value has increased significantly. Transfermarkt now estimates him at around 12 million euros. Yet the real market price is expected to be much higher.

Toulouse fully understands the defender’s importance and the growing interest around him. The French club would reportedly consider a sale only if an offer reaches close to 20 million euros. Such a fee would place him among the most expensive departures in Toulouse’s history.

Juventus must now decide whether to push forward and test Toulouse’s resolve. The coming months could determine whether Cresswell becomes a future pillar of the Juventus defense.
