Initially used in various positions by Chelsea, including full-back and midfield. The Lisbon-born talent pushed for a move to play in his preferred central defensive role.

His performances in Serie A have not gone unnoticed, prompting Juventus to consider a permanent deal.

Transfer tug of war on the horizon

Chelsea’s willingness to let Veiga go comes with conditions. The Premier League side, recognizing the potential and age profile of the Portuguese international, are demanding around €50 million to sanction a full transfer.

While there have been suggestions that Chelsea might prefer to retain him, their firm valuation signals an openness to negotiations.

Juventus, aiming to bolster several areas of their squad this summer, see Veiga as a long-term defensive solution.

Though they aren’t alone in their interest, Tottenham Hotspur are also reportedly monitoring the situation. The Turin-based club appears to be Veiga’s favored destination after a successful loan period.

With Chelsea placing a premium price on Veiga and Juventus eager to add him permanently. The coming transfer window could be decisive for the youngster’s career.

Whether the Bianconeri meet the financial demands remains to be seen, but what’s clear is that Veiga has put himself firmly on the radar with his performances in Italy.
