AC Milan & Juventus are reportedly exploring a blockbuster swap deal involving two of their star players.

According to SportMediaset, the clubs are in early discussions about exchanging Milan’s left-back Theo Hernandez for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic during the upcoming 2025-26 summer transfer window.

The deal could materialize as both players are facing contract uncertainties. Theo Hernandez’s current deal with Milan runs until 2026, but talks over a renewal have stalled.

The same situation applies to Vlahovic, who is under contract with Juventus until June 2026 but has yet to agree to an extension. These parallel contract issues are fueling the possibility of a straight player exchange.

Contract talks stalled on both sides

Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has reportedly already contacted Vlahovic, expressing interest in bringing the Serbian striker to San Siro. Vlahovic, who recently rejected a proposal from Turkish giants Fenerbahce, could be looking for a new challenge in Italy. Milan, in need of a reliable forward, might see Vlahovic as the perfect fit.

The financial aspects of the swap present a challenge. Both clubs have reportedly valued their players at around €30 million. However, salary demands remain a key hurdle.

Vlahovic currently earns €12 million annually at Juventus, a figure Milan may find difficult to accommodate under their wage structure. On the other hand, Theo Hernandez is seeking a new €6 million-per-year contract, a number Juventus could potentially accept more easily.

This potential move would represent one of the biggest internal transfers in Serie A in recent years. It reflects both clubs’ desire to restructure key parts of their squads while managing costs.

While talks are still in the early stages, the prospect of seeing Hernandez in black and white and Vlahovic in red and black adds intrigue to the upcoming transfer window. Fans will be watching closely as negotiations progress.
