Juventus’ decision to sign Nick Woltemade during the summer was viewed as a short-term solution, with the deal negotiated and completed within just a few days.
The German striker was brought in to provide an alternative to Randal Kolo Muani, offering different characteristics in attack as requested by head coach Luciano Spalletti.
However, Juventus’ search for another striker has never stopped. The club’s directors remain in constant contact with their scouting department, monitoring potential profiles who could fit the team’s needs before beginning discussions with possible targets ahead of the January transfer window and next summer.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, one of the names on Juventus’ shortlist is Dutch striker Brian Brobbey. A representative working for Carnevali’ recruitment team watched Brobbey in person during the Netherlands’ 1-1 draw with Germany at the Johan Cruyff Arena, a match in which Felix Nmecha and Cody Gakpo scored.
Brobbey Under Juventus’ Watch
Brobbey’s appearance lasted just over half an hour before he was forced off with a thigh muscle problem. The injury also led to his withdrawal from the Netherlands squad, with his condition now set to be assessed by Sunderland’s medical staff.
He is expected to spend a few weeks on the sidelines before returning to action, after which Juventus representatives could also travel to England to continue monitoring him closely.

The 2002-born striker has made an impressive start to the Premier League campaign, scoring three goals in his first five appearances. His contract with Sunderland runs until June 2029, but there are currently no indications that a renewal is imminent.
Following his strong start to the season, Brobbey’s current valuation is believed to be around €40 million, while his salary is reportedly close to €4 million per season.
The Dutch forward is represented by Sport Cover, an agency that maintains a strong relationship with Juventus and also represents players such as Khéphren Thuram and Jérémie Boga.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Brobbey’s name has already been discussed internally at Juventus, with Spalletti giving his approval for the club to investigate the situation further. The Bianconeri are therefore expected to continue monitoring the striker closely as they assess their options for the upcoming transfer windows.
