Pedulla : Raphaël Guerreiro a key opportunity for Juventus

Raphaël Guerreiro, the experienced left-back currently at Bayern Munich, might emerge as an exciting opportunity for Juventus. And especially if Filip Kostić’s future at the club remains uncertain.

According to Alfredo Pedullà, Guerreiro’s contract with Bayern is set to expire in June 2026. But the Portuguese international’s role in Munich has been limited.

As he approaches his 32nd birthday this month, Guerreiro is expected to explore opportunities that will provide him with more consistent playing time. And Juventus could be a potential destination.

Kostić’s Uncertain Future Opens the Door for Guerreiro

Juventus has struggled to find a permanent solution on the left side of their defense in recent seasons. Filip Kostić has filled that role for much of the current campaign, but his contract is also nearing its end. And Juventus must decide whether to extend his stay or explore other options.

If Kostić moves on, Guerreiro could be the ideal replacement. With Bayern Munich opting to play Josip Stanišić over him, Guerreiro has had limited minutes and is eager to secure more playing time elsewhere.

Pedullà’s report indicates that Juventus has already expressed interest in the 31-year-old left-back, though no formal steps have been taken yet.

It’s clear that the club is monitoring the situation closely, and Guerreiro could become a viable target in the coming weeks, depending on how Kostić’s situation unfolds.

Adding Guerreiro to their squad would allow Juventus to make a strategic change on the right side as well. If a reliable left-back like Guerreiro joins, Andrea Cambiaso could finally be moved to his natural right flank, where he has the potential to make a greater impact.

This shift could also help bring out the best in João Mário. Who has had limited chances to prove his abilities in the current setup.

As Juventus navigates the uncertain futures of both Kostić and Guerreiro. And the coming weeks may hold the key to strengthening their defense for the long-term.
