Former Juventus striker Fernando Llorente has shared his thoughts on the Bianconeri’s attacking options, backing Randal Kolo Muani to deliver more goals while explaining what Nick Woltemade must improve to become a more effective partner up front.
Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Spanish international, who played for Juventus between 2013 and 2015, also revealed his dream signing for the Turin giants and predicted a future return for Antonio Conte.
Llorente understands Kolo Muani’s preference for playing alongside another striker, having experienced the benefits of a strike partnership himself during his time in Turin.
“As a striker, I understand Kolo Muani’s point of view. It is easier to play with another forward alongside you. But I had Carlos Tevez, whereas he doesn’t,” Llorente explained.

Although he does not consider the Frenchman a natural goalscorer, the former Juventus striker believes Kolo Muani has the potential to reach an important milestone this season.
“I have known him for many years. He is not a goalscorer by nature, but I am convinced he can score 20 goals this season. I believe it, and above all, I hope it happens for Juventus’ sake. Without a striker who scores consistently, it becomes difficult to compete for trophies.”
Llorente also believes Kolo Muani and Woltemade could form an effective partnership, provided the German improves his use of his physical attributes.
“Woltemade and Kolo Muani can work as a pair, as long as the German uses his physique more to hold up the ball and win duels. Sometimes Woltemade looks technically gifted but a little lightweight.”
He is equally convinced that Kolo Muani can now build momentum after finding the net in Serie A.
“His real season starts now that he has also broken his duck in the league. Trust me: a goal gives a striker confidence. It means everything.”

Raphinha Dream, Conte Prediction and Vidal Comparison
Asked which player he would love to see wearing the Juventus shirt, Llorente immediately named Barcelona star Raphinha.
“If I can dream, I imagine Raphinha at Juventus. He is a complete forward who scores goals and lifts his teammates. He is relentless.”
Llorente also believes Conte will eventually return to Juventus, describing the Italian as the ideal coach for the club he holds closest to his heart.
“He will only return to one team: the club he loves. Sooner or later, he will come home. He is the ideal coach for Juventus. Antonio is a top manager; he and Carlo Ancelotti are the best coaches I have ever had.”
Finally, Llorente compared Weston McKennie’s energy and goalscoring ability to Arturo Vidal, although he insisted the Chilean midfielder was in a league of his own.
“McKennie has something of Vidal about him: he runs, tracks back and scores. But Arturo was a monster, in a different category. I have never seen anyone like him, either before or since.”
