Liverpool are already planning their next transfer moves, with signing a new right-back emerging as one of the club’s priorities. The Reds want to strengthen a position that has failed to deliver the consistency and quality expected by head coach Andoni Iraola.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu is among the leading candidates on Liverpool’s shortlist, with Roma’s Brazilian full-back Wesley França also attracting the Premier League club’s attention.

Kalulu Emerges as Liverpool’s Top Target
Liverpool currently have Conor Bradley and Jeremie Frimpong as options at right-back. However, Bradley’s injury problems and Frimpong’s difficulties in delivering the required defensive performances have created concerns in the position.
The situation has reportedly forced the coaching staff to consider alternative solutions, including using versatile defender Ronald Araújo to cover the right side of the defence.
Kalulu, 26, is particularly attractive to Liverpool because of his physical qualities, defensive ability and versatility. The Frenchman can operate both at right-back and in the centre of defence, making him a valuable option for a team looking to improve its defensive stability.
However, securing his signature will not be straightforward. Kalulu remains under contract with Juventus until 2029, and the Bianconeri are already working towards extending his deal.
His importance to the Turin side could therefore complicate any attempt by Liverpool to bring him to Anfield.
Wesley França Also on Liverpool’s Radar
Behind Kalulu on Liverpool’s reported shortlist is Wesley França, the 23-year-old Brazilian defender currently playing for Roma.

The Premier League club’s scouts have reportedly been monitoring Wesley during his recent appearances for the Giallorossi, assessing whether he could provide a solution to their right-back concerns.
Like Kalulu, Wesley is tied to his current club for the long term, with his Roma contract running until June 2030. This means Liverpool could face another difficult negotiation if they decide to pursue the Brazilian.
For now, Kalulu and Wesley represent two potential options as Liverpool look to reinforce their right flank. Juventus’ efforts to secure Kalulu’s future, however, could make the French defender a particularly challenging target for the English club.
