Juventus and Giuntoli have begun planning for the summer transfer window and the contract renewals of current players. According to Nico Schira, the players currently in the spotlight are Yeremay, Hancko, and the renewal of Weston McKennie’s contract.

Juventus eyeing Yeremay Hernandez

In recent weeks, Juventus scouts have been spotted at the Riazor Stadium in La Coruña. And closely observing and studying Deportivo’s rising star, Yeremay Hernandez. The 2002-born Spanish talent has been catching the attention of several top clubs, and for good reason.

With 8 goals and 3 assists in 22 appearances this season, he is proving to be quite a prospect. Both Napoli and Chelsea have kept a close eye on him recently. But the strongest interest has come from two Italian clubs: Como and Juventus, who seem set to battle it out both on the pitch at the Sinigaglia tomorrow and in the transfer market.

Como also interested in Yeremay and then Hancko news

Cesc Fabregas has been an admirer of Yeremay and even tried to bring him to Como during the recent transfer window. However, Deportivo rejected the offer from the Hartono brothers, who had proposed 15 million euros to secure the player from Las Palmas.

Despite this setback, the Galician club took decisive action by renewing Hernandez’s contract until 2030. And crucially, removing the affordable 20 million euro release clause. This move aims to increase the price and spark a bidding war come summer, with Juventus closely monitoring the situation.

Bianconeri sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli and his team have been impressed by Yeremay’s abilities. And are ready to make their move in the race for the young star.

For Hancko five-year deal

Meanwhile, David Hancko‘s future seems all but decided. The Slovakian central defender will leave Feyenoord and has already made a commitment to Juventus, with a five-year contract worth 2.5 million euros per season, plus bonuses.

Juventus plans to approach Feyenoord in the coming weeks to secure the deal well in advance. And avoiding the risk of other clubs entering the picture at the end of the season.

The need to act quickly is heightened by interest from a couple of English teams, who inquired about Hancko in January. Few players possess his level of skill and international experience, capable of playing both as a central defender and left-back.

Juventus aims to finalize the deal during the summer transfer window from June 1 to 10 (for clubs participating in the Club World Cup), ensuring Hancko will be ready for the tournament.

Lastly, Juventus plans to meet with Weston McKennie’s agents in the coming weeks. The club is eager to extend his contract, aiming to keep him for several more years.

Talks for a renewal until 2028 are already underway, with a salary increase (currently 2.8 million euros per year) on the table. McKennie’s versatility has impressed manager Thiago Motta, who has made him a key player. Even handing him the captain’s armband on multiple occasions.

This strong bond between the American and Juventus is growing stronger and deserving of a reward – the contract renewal.
