Juventus have reportedly joined the race to sign one of Benfica’s most promising young talents, but securing his signature could prove extremely difficult.
The Bianconeri are keeping a close eye on Daniel Banjaqui, the Portuguese right-back born in 2008, who is attracting interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

According to Portuguese sports newspaper O Jogo, Juventus are among the clubs considering a move for the highly rated defender ahead of next summer’s transfer window.
However, competition for his signature is already fierce, with several major European sides monitoring his development.
Juventus Face Competition From Europe’s Elite for Daniel Banjaqui
Banjaqui’s performances have reportedly caught the attention of multiple clubs, including domestic rivals Inter and Roma. Juventus would therefore face a significant challenge in trying to bring the young defender to Turin.
The competition extends well beyond Serie A. According to O Jogo, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Brighton, RB Leipzig, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Real Sociedad and Tottenham are also among the clubs interested in the Benfica prospect.
Such widespread interest highlights Banjaqui’s growing reputation and suggests that Juventus would have to overcome several obstacles to secure his services.
Benfica Set a Huge Price Tag
Benfica are in a strong negotiating position and have placed a substantial valuation on the young right-back. The Portuguese club reportedly demand at least €50 million for his transfer, while his release clause is said to stand at an even higher €80 million.

Those figures underline Benfica’s determination to protect one of their most highly regarded prospects and make it clear that any potential deal would require a significant financial commitment.
For Juventus, the situation is complicated by both the asking price and the number of competing clubs. The Bianconeri may be interested in securing Banjaqui’s signature next summer, but turning that interest into a concrete agreement will be far from straightforward.
With several European heavyweights reportedly in the picture, the battle for the Benfica youngster could become one of the transfer stories to watch in the coming months.
