Juventus continue their search for the goalkeeper who will inherit the role of Michele Di Gregorio starting from the 2026-27 season.

With just over two months to go before the start of the new campaign, the Bianconeri management has yet to make a definitive decision, but transfer operations are intensifying day by day.

Damien Comolli, in close coordination with Luciano Spalletti, is working to identify a top-level profile capable of bringing experience, leadership, and reliability to a position considered crucial for the club’s new sporting project.

Alisson Blocked by Liverpool as Juventus Explore Alternatives

For months, the primary target had been Alisson Becker, but Liverpool’s stance has significantly slowed down any potential deal.

The English club has firmly rejected the idea of letting the Brazilian goalkeeper leave, forcing Juventus to shift their focus toward alternative options.

Spalletti still hopes the situation could evolve in the coming weeks, especially following recent structural and technical changes at Anfield.

However, the Juventus board has decided not to wait and has already begun evaluating several other candidates.

Maignan Returns as a Serious Option

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, one of the names back under consideration is Mike Maignan.

The French international goalkeeper has long been appreciated by Juventus and was previously monitored when his contract renewal with AC Milan seemed uncertain.

It is believed that the Bianconeri have once again made initial contact with the player’s entourage. Sources close to the club, however, offer a different perspective.

Regardless of differing narratives, the key fact is that Maignan’s name is once again part of Juventus’ internal discussions.

The operation remains complex: the French goalkeeper recently signed a contract extension with Milan until 2031, with a substantial salary package.

Nevertheless, ongoing changes at the Rossoneri, including the departure of Massimiliano Allegri, could potentially influence future scenarios.
