Juventus are reportedly monitoring the situation of Jhon Lucumi, the 1998-born central defender currently playing for Bologna FC 1909 and the Colombian national team.

According to Calciomercato, the defender is not inclined to renew his contract with the Rossoblù, which runs until June 2027.

This development has reportedly put Juventus FC on alert as they begin shaping their defensive plans for the upcoming transfer window.

Juventus Considering Defensive Reshuffle

Lucumi has established himself as a reliable and physically dominant presence in Bologna’s back line, combining tactical intelligence with strong aerial ability.

His steady performances in Serie A have not gone unnoticed, and Juventus are said to view him as a potential reinforcement capable of adding depth and long-term stability to their defensive department.

The Turin giants could make a concrete move during the summer transfer window, especially if internal changes materialize.

Reports suggest that Federico Gatti could be allowed to leave should a suitable offer arrive. In that scenario, Lucumi would emerge as a leading candidate to step into the squad and compete for a starting role.

Premier League Interest Adds Competition

Bologna are believed to value Lucumi at around €18 million, a figure that reflects both his age and consistent performances. However, Juventus may not have a clear path.

Several Premier League clubs are reportedly keeping tabs on the Colombian international, potentially setting the stage for a competitive bidding process.

For Juventus, timing could prove decisive. With Lucumi hesitant to extend his current deal, Bologna may eventually consider offers rather than risk weakening their negotiating position in the future.

As highlighted by Calciomercato, the coming months could be crucial in determining whether the Colombian defender remains in Emilia-Romagna or takes the next step in his career with one of Italy’s most decorated clubs.
