Juventus’ plans to build a new-look squad with a strong Italian core are becoming increasingly clear, with the club’s latest moves offering further confirmation of their strategy.
According to Tuttosport, Juventus CEO Giovanni Carnevali was present in the stands at Bologna’s Dall’Ara during the latest Italy international fixture, alongside Giorgio Chiellini and Marco Ottolini.
Their presence was particularly significant, as the Bianconeri’s attention was focused on one of the most promising young midfielders emerging in Italian football.

That player is Alessandro Romano, the 2006-born Italian-Swiss midfielder currently impressing with Cagliari. His maturity, vision and tactical intelligence have reportedly caught the attention of Juventus, who are closely monitoring his rapid development.
Juventus Already Monitoring Romano’s Rise
Romano came through Roma’s youth academy and was given an opportunity during Ricky Massara’s time in the capital.
Cagliari are set to make his move permanent for around €6.5 million, but his impressive performances this season have already caused his market value to rise dramatically.
His current valuation is understood to be somewhere in the €20–30 million range, although that figure could increase further as competition from several major Serie A clubs intensifies.
For Juventus, the thinking surrounding Romano is reportedly similar to the approach previously taken with Kerim Alajbegovic: identify an exceptional young talent early and move before his price becomes unreachable.
Juventus Want to Move Before It’s Too Late for Alessandro Romano
The Bianconeri are increasingly focused on building around young, high-quality players with significant room for development, particularly those who could become important figures for the Italian national team in the future.

Romano therefore appears to be firmly on Juventus’ radar as they look to strengthen their midfield for the years ahead. With his stock continuing to rise, the coming months could prove crucial if the Turin giants decide to make their interest concrete.
