The future of Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz at Juventus remains uncertain, with a new potential solution emerging on the Milan-Turin transfer axis.

According to Calciomercato, Juventus and AC Milan could find common ground during the summer transfer window, with both clubs evaluating opportunities involving players who need a fresh start after disappointing seasons.

Douglas Luiz has become one of the most complicated situations at Juventus. The Brazilian midfielder has struggled to rediscover the form and consistency that made him one of the most highly rated players in the Premier League, even after returning to England last season.

At the moment, Juventus have not received any offers that match the player’s value and potential. Meanwhile, Douglas Luiz is working hard during preseason to convince new coach Luciano Spalletti and earn his place in the squad for the upcoming campaign.

However, his future in Turin remains far from guaranteed, and another departure could still be possible before the transfer window closes.

Douglas Luiz – Ricci swap idea emerges between Juventus and Milan

The latest idea reportedly involves a possible loan swap deal between Juventus and Milan, with Douglas Luiz moving to the Rossoneri and Samuele Ricci making the opposite journey to Turin.

From Milan’s perspective, Douglas Luiz could represent an interesting profile for Ruben Amorim’s midfield project, thanks to his technical ability, physical strength, and experience at the highest level.

On the other side, Ricci is a player highly appreciated by Luciano Spalletti. The Italian midfielder was launched into the national team setup during Spalletti’s time as Italy head coach and has always been considered a midfielder with qualities perfectly suited to his tactical ideas.

Juventus are looking for new solutions in midfield and Ricci could become an ideal addition to Spalletti’s squad, offering intelligence, passing quality, and tactical flexibility.

A potential exchange could therefore satisfy both clubs: Juventus would add a midfielder strongly desired by their coach, while Milan would give Douglas Luiz an opportunity to restart his career and show his true potential.

The two clubs are currently reflecting on the possibility of the operation, which could become one of the most interesting transfer scenarios between Serie A giants this summer.
