The editorial staff of TuttoJuve spoke exclusively with Christian Falk, journalist for Bild and a long-time insider of Bayern Munich affairs, to discuss in detail his recent report regarding Juventus’ interest in Serge Gnabry, and more.
Juventus supporters have reacted very positively to the news of interest in Gnabry. What more can you tell us?

“Yes, Juventus are indeed interested in Gnabry. The German winger is currently in good form and will be available as a free agent in the summer, which makes him an attractive option for many clubs.
Based on the information I have, Liverpool are also monitoring his situation. The truth is that the player would like to stay at Bayern Munich; however, the Bavarian club is no longer willing to pay him his high salary of €17–19 million.
Juventus, likewise, are not prepared to reach that level. Therefore, the club willing to make the strongest financial commitment will gain an advantage in negotiations.”
Hypothetically, would Gnabry be a good fit for Juventus? Could he perform well in Serie A, or might he struggle?

“Gnabry has delivered world-class performances in recent years, but he has also experienced periods in which he was not even up to Bundesliga standards. Recently, though, his performances have become more consistent and mature.
He is also contributing more defensively, partly thanks to new head coach Vincent Kompany. At his current level, Gnabry would certainly be a valuable asset for Serie A.”
On the other hand, Bayern are closely monitoring Dusan Vlahović. Talks with Juventus have not yet begun; the Bianconeri will attempt to offer a renewal, but the Serbian striker has not made a decision. What is Bayern’s position?

“Bayern Munich are keeping an eye on Vlahović, who has already been linked to the club on several occasions in the past. The Bavarian interest is not concrete at this stage, but he is a potential option should other plans fail.
At the moment, it seems unlikely that Nicolas Jackson’s loan will be extended. The club is therefore looking for strikers, but I would see Vlahović more as a backup to Harry Kane than a guaranteed starter.
His salary is high compared to other candidates, and he naturally wants to play as much as possible, but it would be quite difficult for him to displace Kane from the starting role.”
The final question concerns Leon Goretzka. What is his situation? Could Juventus return for him, as in the recent past?

“Goretzka’s situation is similar to Gnabry’s: his contract also expires in the summer, and he earns almost the same amount as his club and national teammate.
Bayern do not want to spend that much, but they are not considering selling him in January. It is interesting to note how many Bayern players are currently on Juventus’ radar. This also applies to Josip Stanišić and Sacha Boey.”
