Thiago Motta & Cristiano Giuntoli speaks to ‘DAZN’ after Juventus draw 1-1 against Torino. Giuntoli started :

STRATEGY IN JANUARY?
“Reinforce the squad in defense and look around if there are opportunities in other sectors”.

LATE SIGNINGS?
“We need to respect the economic and technical parameters. It is hard to move important players in January, we need a bit of patience”.

BUYING PLAYERS IN SERIE A OR FROM ABROAD?
“Making a general argument maybe yes, then the particular ones will depend on certain situations. In Italy there aren’t any possibilities and therefore we are looking abroad”.

ARAUJO AND KOLO MUANI?
“Two great players. The mercato is alive now, we hope there is positive news this week”.

MONTH OF TRUTH?
“At Juve you are always under scrutiny, if you do well this month there is the next one and so forth. We have a path that started from zero, a very young squad. We believe that we will soon be able to be protagonists and very competitive” ended Giuntoli.

Thiago Motta talks after Torino’s match

Thiago Motta speaks after Torino’s draw :

“I didn’t say anything in particular to the team. I just said to go forward to prevent the opponents from taking the field. We weren’t good at finishing off our shots. 12 draws? A few too many draws given that at times we were ahead”

“We did very well at the beginning and that’s why we took the lead. After the 1-0 we dropped back and conceded a goal. We could have been more aggressive in that circumstance. In the second half we came back well: we dominated and had chances but without scoring” said Motta.

FACT : Thiago Motta’s Juventus have only collected 33 points from their first 19 league games. Their worst record in the last 14 years, the last time they had done worse under Delneri was in 2010/2011.
