The summer transfer window continues to create intriguing links between Juventus and Napoli, with a fresh report suggesting the two Serie A giants could soon be discussing another significant deal.
According to Sportmediaset, Napoli have identified Federico Gatti as a potential target as the club looks to strengthen its defensive department.
The request would come directly from new head coach Massimiliano Allegri, who is reportedly eager to add a reliable centre-back to his squad ahead of the new season.

Juventus set Gatti valuation
Juventus are said to have responded with a clear stance: Gatti could leave only for an offer in the region of €25 million.
The valuation underlines the Bianconeri’s determination not to discount one of their most trusted defenders, even if the club is not completely ruling out a departure during the current transfer window.
The Turin side would prefer either a substantial cash offer or a deal capable of delivering strong technical value in return.
For that reason, different formulas are reportedly being considered, including the possibility of involving another player in negotiations.
Lobotka name emerges in talks
Sportmediaset also reports that Stanislav Lobotka could be a name of interest to Juventus.
The Slovak midfielder is highly appreciated by Luciano Spalletti, who coached him during his successful spell at Napoli and knows his tactical intelligence, technical quality and international experience well.

At the moment, however, Lobotka is not considered available on the market, and Napoli have shown no intention of parting with one of the key figures in their midfield.
As a result, the idea of a direct swap remains difficult to imagine at this stage. Despite that, transfer negotiations can evolve quickly.
Much will depend on the players’ willingness, the strategies of both clubs and how their respective technical needs develop over the coming weeks.
Should Napoli decide to make a concrete move for Gatti, Juventus are expected to evaluate every option that could maximize the value of the operation.
For now, there are no advanced talks or imminent agreements, but what is currently only a transfer rumour could become a genuine negotiating track as the summer progresses.
As previous transfer windows have often shown, even the most complicated deals can suddenly take shape when circumstances begin to align.
