Juventus return to Serie A action after the international break with an away trip to face Cagliari on Matchday 6. The Bianconeri will travel to Sardinia on Sunday, October 11, with kick-off scheduled for 20:45 CEST.

Ahead of the encounter, several key statistics offer an insight into the challenge awaiting Luciano Spalletti’s side, as well as the players who could make the difference.

Juventus’ Record Against Cagliari

Juventus have recorded 47 Serie A victories against Cagliari, with only Inter and AC Milan registering more wins against the Sardinian side, at 48 each. However, the Bianconeri have won just two of their last five league meetings with Cagliari, drawing twice and suffering one defeat.

Since 2010, Juventus have secured 22 victories in 29 Serie A matches against the Rossoblu, alongside five draws and two losses. During that period, only Udinese have suffered more defeats against the Turin giants.

Defensively, Juventus have also been impressive since Spalletti’s arrival on October 30, 2025. They have recorded 16 clean sheets in Serie A, matching Roma and Como for the best tally in the division.

Nico González, Zhegrova and Cagliari’s Statistics

Nico González has scored three Serie A goals against Cagliari, with only Sassuolo proving a more favourable opponent for the Argentine, against whom he has scored four times. Moreover, two of his last three league goals have come from outside the penalty area.

Edon Zhegrova is another player to watch. The Kosovo international has contributed to three goals, scoring twice and providing one assist, across his last two league appearances.

After going 21 consecutive Serie A matches without a goal contribution, he now has the opportunity to make an impact in three successive matches for the first time in Europe’s top five leagues.

Cagliari, meanwhile, have conceded just two goals this season, matching Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Lyon among the teams with the fewest goals conceded across Europe’s top five leagues.

However, they have won only 45% of their duels, the lowest percentage among their opponents, while Juventus rank ninth with 49.4%.

Finally, Michel Adopo is set to make his 100th Serie A appearance, having already registered two assists in five matches this season.
