Atlético Madrid have officially entered the race to sign Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović. And intensifying what is shaping up to be one of the more competitive transfer sagas of the summer.

The Serbian forward, who has long been linked with a move away from Turin, is being valued at €50 million by Juventus. Who are open to negotiations but will only entertain serious offers matching their asking price.

According to Giovanni Albanese, Atlético Madrid are keen on striking a player-plus-cash agreement. And with Argentine right-back Nahuel Molina potentially being included in the package to reduce the upfront transfer fee.

The Spanish club sees Vlahović as a long-term solution to their center-forward position, which has lacked consistency in recent seasons.

Player preference and competing offers – Nahuel Molina in backround

Despite Fenerbahçe putting forward a highly lucrative proposal—reportedly a €10 million-per-year salary—Vlahović is not entirely sold on a move to Turkey.

The 24-year-old is said to prioritize a sporting project over financial incentives. And he would prefer a move to AC Milan if he were to remain in Serie A.

Milan, who are currently looking to reinforce their attacking line following Olivier Giroud’s departure. Now could emerge as strong contenders, especially if they can match Juventus’ valuation.

While Fenerbahçe’s offer underscores the financial muscle Turkish clubs are willing to flex, Vlahović appears more attracted to clubs competing regularly in the Champions League.

Atlético’s participation in Europe’s top competition could give them a significant edge, should they meet Juve’s terms and convince the player.

Vlahović’s situation remains fluid, and with multiple top clubs involved, Juventus are expected to field further offers in the coming weeks.

Whether Atlético’s strategic inclusion of Nahuel Molina will be enough to sway the Italian giants remains to be seen. But what’s certain is that the battle for the Serbian striker is heating up fast.
