David’s goal and Vlahovic’s return
The deadlock was broken in the 73rd minute. Jonathan David reacted brilliantly inside the box after a deflected ball off Davide Zappacosta.
His acrobatic strike marked his first goal for Juventus, a moment that will boost his confidence before the new season. Only two minutes later, substitute Vlahovic doubled the lead. Joao Mario threaded a perfect pass, and the Serbian striker calmly slotted past Marco Carnesecchi.
Atalanta, however, refused to give in. In the closing stages, Samardzic produced a moment of individual brilliance. Controlling the ball with his first touch, he evaded Pierre Kalulu and Filip Kostic before smashing home. Despite this late push, Juventus held firm to secure victory.
