Juventus have shifted their attention toward Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface as a primary alternative to long-time target Victor Osimhen. As the Italian club intensifies its search for a reliable center forward ahead of the summer transfer window.

Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, has been on Juventus’s radar for several seasons. However, the high transfer fee demanded for the 25-year-old Nigerian forward—compounded by Napoli’s firm stance and Galatasaray’s involvement—has led the Bianconeri to reevaluate their options.

According to Tuttosport, Boniface has emerged as a realistic and strategic alternative, offering a blend of quality, affordability, and long-term potential.

Boniface, 24, has enjoyed an outstanding season with Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen. And becoming one of the most effective attackers in Europe. His physical presence, finishing ability, and link-up play have made him a key figure under Xabi Alonso.

The Nigerian forward has registered double-digit goals and assists across competitions, drawing attention from several top clubs. Juventus, keen to revamp their attack, see him as a striker capable of making an immediate impact in Serie A.

Previously linked with a move to Saudi Arabia during the January window. Now Boniface ultimately remained in Germany, where his market value has continued to rise. Despite that, he is still viewed as a more financially viable option than Osimhen, whose potential price could exceed €100 million.

Not just Victor Boniface, Juventus has also other alternatives

Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is believed to be spearheading the striker hunt and sees Boniface as a key part of a new, dynamic attacking blueprint. With Dušan Vlahović’s future also under scrutiny, the need for a consistent and mobile striker is urgent.

In addition to Boniface, Juventus are also monitoring other young forwards. Including Loïs Openda of RB Leipzig, Lyon’s Georges Mikautadze, and Arnaud Kalimuendo of Stade Rennes.

However, Boniface stands out for his blend of current form, international experience, and developmental ceiling.

With the summer transfer market fast approaching, Juventus are expected to accelerate their scouting and negotiations.

The pursuit of Boniface could shape the club’s transfer strategy as they look to return to the top of Italian football and reassert their presence in European competitions.
