Juventus vs Monza | Preview & Expected Lineup

New Juventus boss Igor Tudor saw his unbeaten start in Serie A come to a premature end after just three games, with their UEFA Champions League ambitions taking a heavy hit in a shock 1-0 loss to relegation-battling Parma last Wednesday.

Despite this setback, the Bianconeri find themselves only a point adrift of the top four heading into this round. With three of their final five fixtures against teams from the lower half of the table, Juventus’ European hopes remain very much alive.

Crucial Home Clash Against Struggling Monza

Facing basement-dwellers Monza now has all the makings of a must-win match for Juventus, and they have every reason to feel optimistic.

Tudor’s side has triumphed in six of their last seven Serie A home games (L1), showing particular dominance over clubs outside the division’s top eight (W7, D3).

Impressively, five of those wins were accompanied by clean sheets, suggesting that even a single goal might be enough to avoid back-to-back league defeats for only the second time this season.

Monza, meanwhile, showed admirable resilience by holding title-chasers Napoli scoreless for over 70 minutes last time out, but ultimately fell to another defeat.

Their dismal form — just two points collected from the last 39 available (D2, L11) — has left them teetering on the edge of relegation. Their two-year stay in Italy’s top flight could officially end this weekend if they lose in Turin and teams currently sitting between 17th and 19th pick up points.

Monza’s away record makes for grim reading: six consecutive defeats on the road against sides in the top seven, with four of those losses seeing them ship three or more goals.

Having secured just one away league victory all season (D4, L11) and with three straight head-to-head losses against Juventus, Monza’s demotion could be confirmed in sobering fashion.

Players to watch | Juventus vs Monza

Rising star Kenan Yıldız has been instrumental in Juventus’ recent home successes, netting two of his six Serie A goals during the club’s last two home matches, each proving decisive.

For Monza, defender Georgios Kyriakopoulos remains a bright spark, having been involved in eight goals this season (3 goals, 5 assists), and he’s often a talisman when scoring — he opened the scoring in nine of his ten professional goal-scoring appearances.

Hot Stat:
Juventus have registered 15 Serie A clean sheets this season — the joint-highest total in the division.
