Juventus will aim to follow up their historic 5-0 victory over Al Ain with another dominant display, this time against Wydad AC.
That emphatic win marked the biggest Club World Cup (CWC) victory by an Italian side, with four of Juve’s goals coming before the break.

The win puts them in prime position to qualify for the last 16, needing only victory—paired with Man City avoiding defeat against Al Ain—to seal progression.
Massimiliano Allegri’s men are in solid form, having now won three games in a row for the first time since February. However, they haven’t kept back-to-back clean sheets since August. Despite injuries to key players like Bremer and Arkadiusz Milik, Juventus remain strong favorites.
Juventus vs Wydad | Must-win territory
Wydad AC’s hopes are hanging by a thread following their 2-0 loss to Manchester City. The Moroccan champions have now lost consecutive games without scoring—something they haven’t done since October 2024. Failure to win, combined with a City result against Al Ain, could confirm their exit.

Wydad’s history in the CWC doesn’t offer much optimism. They remain winless in the competition after appearances in 2017 and 2022. Their only previous game against European opposition ended in a 2-0 loss to City.
Wydad must improve quickly, especially in attack. Cassius Mailula could be key, with two goals and one assist in his last four matches.
For Juventus, Randal Kolo Muani is in excellent form, netting six times in eight games. His pace and positioning have added much-needed bite to Juve’s forward line.
Only three of Juve’s last ten games have featured over 2.5 goals. Meanwhile, Wydad’s matches often see an early opener—each of their last four games saw the first goal inside 15 minutes.
This Group G clash in Philadelphia could decide both clubs’ fates. Juve are poised to advance. Wydad must deliver, or bow out once again.
