Juventus continue to push forward with their ambitious summer rebuild, with Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano “Dibu” Martinez remaining the club’s top priority between the posts.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Bianconeri have held fresh contacts in recent hours regarding the Argentine international, underlining their determination to strengthen one of the most important positions in the squad.

The goalkeeper is highly valued by Juventus CEO and General Manager Giovanni Carnevali, who considers Martinez the ideal addition for the new campaign. Should a deal prove impossible, Guglielmo Vicario remains the leading alternative on the club’s shortlist.

Martinez enjoyed another outstanding season with Aston Villa, playing a decisive role in the club’s impressive Premier League campaign, which secured Champions League qualification.

The World Cup-winning goalkeeper also delivered several crucial performances during Villa’s Europa League run, including standout displays in the quarter-final tie against Bologna.

Juventus Monitoring Stones While Striker Search Continues

Juventus are not only focused on reinforcing their goalkeeping department. The club is also exploring options to strengthen its defense, with former Manchester City defender John Stones emerging as one of the names under consideration.

The experienced England international is currently a free agent after leaving Manchester City, where he spent nine successful seasons, making 295 appearances and scoring 19 goals.

While there has been no significant breakthrough in negotiations, Stones remains a player Juventus are keeping a close eye on as they evaluate experienced defensive reinforcements.

Meanwhile, the search for a new striker remains one of the club’s biggest priorities. Talks for Randal Kolo Muani have yet to produce an agreement, with Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain still apart on the financial terms of a potential transfer.

As a result, the Bianconeri continue to keep Alexander Sorloth firmly on their radar. Atletico Madrid are reportedly demanding around €40 million for the Norwegian international, who enjoyed an impressive 2025/26 campaign.

Sorloth featured in 54 matches across all competitions, scoring 20 goals while adding one assist. He has also carried his excellent form onto the international stage, where he continues to lead Norway’s attack alongside Erling Haaland at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

With moves being explored in goal, defense, attack and even at boardroom level, Juventus continue to build an ambitious project, while Gianluca Di Marzio reports that negotiations and evaluations remain active on multiple fronts as the club looks to assemble a squad capable of competing for major trophies next season.
