Juventus have chosen their Left-Back

Juventus have identified a left-sided winger as one of their priorities for the January transfer window, and one name is increasingly emerging as a serious target: Rayan Aït-Nouri.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Algerian Manchester City defender is once again on Juventus’ radar after the club explored the possibility of signing him during the summer.

Luciano Spalletti has long appreciated Aït-Nouri’s qualities and reportedly considers him an ideal profile to strengthen the squad. The summer talks never developed into a concrete deal, but the situation has not been forgotten in Turin.

During the recent international break, Juventus reportedly reopened contacts and have now put themselves in an interesting position ahead of January.

Aït-Nouri Wants More Playing Time

Aït-Nouri had already begun considering his options toward the end of August, with concerns over limited playing time at Manchester City. Juventus was among the possibilities he had considered.

His situation could now make a January move even more realistic. The 25-year-old wants greater consistency and has so far struggled to establish himself as a regular at City.

For Spalletti, the need is clear. Juventus have Andrea Cambiaso, while Zeki Çelik can adapt to the left and Weston McKennie could cover the position in an emergency. However, the coach wants a specialist who can provide natural competition for Cambiaso without forcing tactical adjustments.

Aït-Nouri fits that profile particularly well.

Juventus Consider a Loan Deal

Juventus are not expected to make a major financial investment in January, which is why a loan could be the most attractive solution.

Corriere dello Sport reports that the Bianconeri could explore a temporary move potentially including an option to buy, leaving a permanent decision for next summer.

Such a formula would allow Juventus to add the reinforcement Spalletti wants without placing too much pressure on the winter transfer budget.

Manchester City could also be open to a temporary solution if Aït-Nouri’s limited minutes continue.

However, Juventus’ pursuit may once again depend on an exit. Juan Cabal remains the main candidate to leave, after the club tried to find him a new destination on the final day of the summer window.

The strategy therefore appears unchanged: free up space first, then move for the new left-sided reinforcement.
